We want to provide your children with the best possible care and education, therefore, we feel that staff education and training are vital to our success. Following is a brief overview of our staff and their achievements. As the Center grows, we will hire more teachers and assistants. We will always require a minimum of a Child Development Associates Credential for our Lead Teachers.

Tammy Payne is the Director/Owner of Discovery World. She has lived in the Harbor Country Area most of her life. She is a mother of three children herself and understands the importance of good quality child care. She has 65 college credit hours towards her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked for many years in the children's department of her church and has also spent volunteer hours in a Montessori setting. The materials she has chosen for the center will be fun for the children but at the same time very educational.

Samantha Personett is the Lead Teacher of the Pre-School Program. She has a Child Development Associate Credential and an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is also considering going on to pursue her Bachelor's Degree. She is a mother of two and a stepmother of three (all boys!). She has previous experience working in a child care center and has a lot of patience in dealing with active children.
